An election notice is a statutorily required posting containing specific information relating to each election. The Type A notice gives the basic information of the upcoming election, including the date, offices to be elected, and filing deadlines to get on the ballot. The Type B notice provides voting instructions for the ballot format and equipment to be used at the election. The Type C notice is used when there are referendum questions on the ballot, and provides the question and a statement explaining the effects of a “yes” and “no” votes. The Type D notice provides polling place locations and hours. The Type E notice is specific to absentee voting and also contains the office hours and location(s) for in-person absentee voting.
